Pendragon Theatre has completed the purchase of the 56 Woodruff Street location, formerly Newman and Holmes and before that, A&P. This currently under-utilized site is at the corner of Woodruff and Church Streets, across from Nori’s.

At fewer than 300 steps from restaurants such as the Campfire Adirondack Grill at the Hotel Saranac, Left Bank Café, and Fiddlehead Bistro, and less than 500 steps from many more including the Belvedere, Blue Moon Cafe, and Downhill Grill, patrons will now be able to spend an evening in town, parking once and walking to the theater.

What’s Next?

There is still much work to be done. The new theatre needs to go through detailed design and a revision of the business plan, taking into account DRI and input from stakeholders. Of course, in the interim we will continue to provide high-quality theatre that both challenges and entertains. And what we eventually do will depend on you, our patrons and donors.

What can you do?

  1. See a play! Athena opens September 20!
  2. Bring your friends
  3. Donate! The final design of the theatre will depend on the results of our capital campaign.

Thank you for being a part of the community that supports Pendragon Theatre!
